Llandrindod Twinning Association was one of the community groups that took part in welcoming the Queen’s Baton to Llandrindod Wells on Sunday 25 May. The baton’s presence in Llandrindod was part of its two week journey across Wales as it marks the run-up to the Commonwealth Games, which starts in Glasgow on Thursday 23 July.

The weather was particularly wet but this did not dampen the members enthusiasm to display information about youth and other visits to and from the twin towns of Contrexeville, France and Bad Rappenau,Germany. The group also had a selection of garden plants which were sold to raise funds for the Association’s activities.
